This week was an interesting one, after all the fashion projects we have just done, it was about getting us back in touch with just drawing. Including exercises such as drawing with a pen taped to three more pens, this brief allowed us to be more experimental and more free as the briefs prevented us from being too precious.
We were also encouraged to think more abstractly to come up with an interesting response to each brief. I feel like if we were also asked to bring in as many random objects as we could, the outcomes may have been even more interesting, never-the-less the tasks were still thought provoking in terms of how I could make my work (drawing in particular) more interesting.
During this week we also received talks about the various BA courses at Ravensbourne, and had the chance to look at work of existing students and talk to them about their course. This was helpful as I got alot of useful information about the courses I might apply to, from both the tutor and student perspective.
