This morning I went to the park again in search of some more inspiration for my work, and I found these beautiful leaves where they had dried out leaving the skeleton of veins visible. I struggled quite abit with my macro lens trying to focus the image, I think this is because the veins that I was trying to photograph were too thin and light. I managed to get some images where it’s focussed in some areas only, and I think in some cases this looks quite interesting.

In hindsight I should have collected some for my book so I will probable go back for them and try to take some more photos. In the mean time I felt like they would translate nicely into crochet samples and looking into negative space. This would definitely be a good start for designs to laser cut in the laser cutting workshop we will have after easter, for not I can experiment with linear drawings to explore the negative space and maybe making some cut-outs just using a scalpel (although this may be a bit time consuming).
